SYS-010 · SYSTEM
Inert gas system (flue gas / IGG + deck seal)
불활성가스 장치
Equipment that fills the space above the cargo with low-oxygen gas so it cannot ignite. Crude carriers clean and use their boiler exhaust; other ships generate inert gas or nitrogen. The deck water seal blocks any flow back toward the engine room.

- Family reference-profile markers
- ● 1 Standard · ○ 3 Common · △ 1 Variant · 16 unmarked
- Component coverage
- 6 released source-BOM records
- Relationship meaning
- Family markers describe reference applicability. Component links are released source-BOM listings and do not assert complete engineering containment.
FAMILY REFERENCE APPLICABILITY
Family profiles carrying a source marker.
Unmarked Families are not listed; an unmarked cell means “not normally fitted” in the source Family profile, not confirmed absence from a vessel.

Scrubber / cooling tower
스크러버 타워The tower that washes and cools boiler flue gas with seawater, removing soot and sulphur so it is clean enough to blanket the cargo.

IG 블로어The fans that push the cleaned inert gas from the scrubber out along the deck main into the cargo tanks.

데크 워터실A water-filled vessel the gas must bubble through on its way to deck — a one-way barrier that physically blocks any cargo vapour flowing back toward the engine room.

데크 격리·역지 밸브The mechanical valves backing up the water seal, isolating the deck main from the machinery side.

산소 분석기Oxygen analysers that confirm the delivered gas is below the safe limit (typically 5%) before it enters the tanks — high oxygen defeats the whole purpose.

P/V 브레이커A liquid-filled full-flow device on the deck main that relieves extreme over- or under-pressure if every valve fails — the last mechanical safeguard for the tank structure.
